A veteran who "does a health check" for chips sells equipment but locks in production lines
Aehr Test Systems was founded in 1977 and is headquartered in Fremont, California. It is a semiconductor equipment company focused on wafer-level testing and burn-in. It does not produce chips but performs extreme pre-market health checks for chips.
At its core is the FOX series—FOX-XP and FOX-NP can simultaneously test, age, and stabilize wafers up to 300mm, while FOX-CP focuses on low-cost monolithic solutions. The accompanying WaferPak contactors and DiePak carriers extend the test chain from the wafer all the way to the bare chip and module.
