AI Paper Trading Bot — Live, Explainable, Benchmarked
NextPick runs an AI trading engine on live US market data and paper trades its decisions in public. Every position below is published the moment the bot acts on it: what it holds, what it last bought or sold, and the full decision log behind each trade — signals, entry plan, stop and exit reasoning. The engine trades US market hours, so the stamp under the cards above tells you when it last ran and the status chip tells you whether it is running now.
Performance is benchmarked against holding SPY over the same period, with the complete trade history open for inspection. No cherry-picked screenshots, no black box — an auditable paper track record.
- What is the NextPick paper trading bot?
- An AI trading engine that runs live paper trades on US stocks. It publishes every position, entry and exit as soon as the cycle that made it closes, and benchmarks its performance against simply holding SPY.
- What does the status chip say, and why does it read Inactive?
- The chip reports the engine, not the page. Active means a cycle has landed recently, so it is working through the watchlist right now; Inactive means no cycle has landed since the last one was due — the normal state outside US market hours, where the chip also tells you when scanning resumes; Paused and Stopped mean an operator halted it. In every non-active state the holdings below are still revalued at the latest prices, but no new trades are placed. The chip is derived from the same last-cycle timestamp the stamp under the KPI cards prints, so the two can never disagree.
- Is it real money?
- No — trades are paper (simulated) executions at real market prices. The point is a transparent, auditable track record of the engine's decisions, not managing money.
- Can I see why the bot made a trade?
- Yes. Every trade carries a decision log: the signals that triggered it, the entry plan, the stop, and the exit reasoning. Nothing is a black box.
- How is performance measured?
- Cumulative return of the paper portfolio against a SPY buy-and-hold baseline over the same period, with the full trade history open for inspection.
